Every time I see a trans woman on my dash I flinch. Given the state of this world, I am almost always certain the post will be of an article about yet another trans woman, usually of color, beaten and/or sexually assaulted and/or killed.
IDK about you, but that hurts. Because most times, that is exactly what it is. Most news coverage of the T community features murder or how yet another “passable” “man who lives his life as a woman” went outside today.
